1 lb beef or turkey salami, sliced into ¼-inch thick rounds
2 tbsp honey or maple syrup (for caramelization)
1 tbsp Dijon mustard (or any preferred mustard)
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp smoked paprika (optional, for added smokiness)
½ tsp black pepper
½ tsp garlic powder
For Serving:
Grainy mustard or honey mustard
Spicy ketchup or barbecue sauce
Pita chips, crackers, or toasted baguette slices
Instructions
Prepare the Salami:
Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
Slice the Salami: Cut the beef or turkey salami into ¼-inch thick rounds. Arrange them in a single layer on the baking sheet.
Season and Bake:
Make the Glaze: In a small bowl, mix honey (or maple syrup), Dijon mustard, olive oil, smoked paprika, black pepper, and garlic powder until well combined.
Coat the Salami: Brush the glaze over the salami slices, ensuring an even coating.
Bake: Place in the oven and bake for 15 minutes.
Flip and Continue Baking: Flip the slices over, brush with more glaze, and bake for another 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are crispy and caramelized.
Serve and Garnish:
Cool Slightly: Let the baked salami rest for a few minutes before serving.
Serve with Dips: Arrange on a serving platter with mustard, spicy ketchup, or barbecue sauce. Pair with crackers, toasted baguette slices, or pita chips.
